FindMeCoffee254 ("we", "us") helps you discover independent coffee shops across Kenya. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

• Account details: your email address, an optional display name, and a securely hashed password when you create an account.
• Content you create: cafe reviews, star ratings, review photos, saved (favourite) cafes, and helpful votes.
• Location: with your permission, your approximate device location is used only on your device to sort cafes by distance and centre the map. We do not store your location on our servers.
• Photos: when you attach a photo to a review, that image is uploaded and shown with your review.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide the app's features: authentication, showing your saved cafes and reviews, ranking helpful reviews, and improving cafe recommendations. We do not sell your personal data.

Cafe data

Coffee shop listings are sourced from our editorial team and our content management system. Public cafe information (name, area, photos, hours, contact) is shown to all users.

Data sharing

Your reviews, rating, display name and any review photos are visible to other users. Your email and password are never shared publicly.

Data retention & deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Profile → "Delete my account". This removes your account, saved cafes, reviews and votes from our systems.

Permissions

Location, camera and photo-library access are optional and requested only when you use a related feature. You can change these anytime in your device settings.

Children

The app is intended for users aged 13 and over.
